Timmy and Twiggy, miniature Dachshunds who are six months old. We don't know if they are littermates. They were turned into a local animal control by a woman who said they came into her yard. That is probably not true, but we have to go with that. So, they stayed in animal control for ten days and then we were successful in rescuing them.

Both pups have been heartworm tested, negative. They have been de-wormed for parasites. They got all of their vaccines. They got spayed and neutered. They had retained puppy teeth removed. They both got complete examinations.

Timmy is a Chocalate Dapple and Twiggy is a Double Dapple. Great that they have a unique look, but TIMMY IS DEAF, and they will both go to an eye specialist to see if they have any sight issues. People who breed these dogs for color and don't know what they are doing or think they know what they are doing, raise puppies that are subject to DEAFNESS and BLINDNESS. And when they can't sell them for lots of money, they hopefully surrender them----in this case to a shelter and we were able to rescue them.

We have them in a foster home who has Dachshund experience and we are going to work with a trainer to help us train them with basic training using hand signals.
